    Coaxial structure:

    From outside to inside, there are 4 parts: sheath, outer conductor (shield layer), insulating medium and inner conductor.


    The sheath, that is, the outermost layer is an insulating layer, plays a protective role. Outdoor cables should use black polyethylene with excellent climate characteristics. Indoor users should use light-colored polyethylene for aesthetic reasons.


    The outer conductor (shield layer), the outer conductor of the coaxial cable has a dual role. It not only serves as a conductor of the transmission loop, transmits low levels, but also has a shielding effect. The outer conductor usually has three structures.


    (1) Metal tube. This structure is welded by copper or aluminum tape longitudinally wrapped or extruded and drawn by seamless copper tube. This structure has the best shielding performance but poor flexibility and is often used in trunk cables.


    (2) The vertical package of aluminum-plastic composite tape overlaps. This structure has good shielding effect and low manufacturing cost, but because the outer conductor is a round tube with a longitudinal slit, the electromagnetic wave will penetrate through the slit and leak, so it should be used with caution.


    (3) Combination of braided mesh and longitudinal package of aluminum-plastic composite tape. This is developed from a single woven mesh structure, which has the characteristics of good flexibility, light weight and reliable joints. Experiments have shown that the use of a reasonable composite structure has greatly improved the shielding performance. Used heavily.
